Welcome to The Burrow
The Burrow
The Burrow is our dedicated wraparound care provision, offering a safe, cosy and welcoming space for children before and after the school day.
Designed to be a calm and friendly environment, The Burrow gives children the chance to relax, play and spend time with friends in a familiar setting, supported by our experienced and caring staff team.
Our wraparound care includes both a Breakfast Club and After-School Club for pre-school children and pupils attending St Peter’s Primary School. Whether children are starting their day with breakfast or unwinding after a busy day at school, The Burrow provides a comfortable and enjoyable place to be.
Breakfast – from 8am
Children can enjoy a relaxed start to the day with a healthy breakfast and a selection of activities before being walked up to school by a member of staff.
After-School – 3 till 6pm
After the school day ends, children attending St Peter’s Primary School are collected by a member of our team and walked back to the pre-school to join us at The Burrow. Once they arrive, children have the opportunity to unwind and take part in a variety of activities in a relaxed setting.
Activities are set up each afternoon and may include arts and crafts, board games, construction toys, small world play, reading and outdoor play. Children are free to choose what they would like to do, giving them time to relax and enjoy themselves after a busy day at school.
Snacks and Light Tea
Food is provided during the after-school session depending on the time children stay with us. All children are offered a healthy light snack, while children staying until 6:00pm are provided with a light tea. All food is prepared with consideration for children’s dietary requirements and allergies.
Pricing
For school-aged children, Breakfast Club sessions are £7 per session.
After-school sessions are £12 for children staying until 5:00pm, or £16 for children staying until 6:00pm. Breakfast, snacks and light tea (for later sessions) are included.
For pre-school children, sessions within The Burrow are charged at the usual hourly rate for their age group.
Booking and Further Information
If you would like your child to attend The Burrow, we ask that parents or carers complete a registration form before booking sessions. This ensures we have all the necessary information to support your child’s needs and keep them safe while in our care.
We understand that many families require flexibility, so ad hoc bookings are welcome whenever spaces are available. Last minute bookings may also be possible, although these will be at the discretion of The Burrow’s Supervisor, depending on staffing and availability on the day.
To help ensure we can offer flexibility for families who may need occasional care, we recommend that parents book and pay for at least one regular session per week. This helps secure your child’s place within The Burrow and allows you to request additional ad hoc sessions when needed, subject to availability.
If you would like to register your child or discuss availability, please contact us to request a registration form or speak to a member of the team.
